My weekly post for some entertainment; for myself and all of you!
1. I have been intensely drooling at night consistently for the last week. What is happening to me? I’ve never had a drooling problem before, but now I wake up with just a pool on my face. What the hell is that about?
2. Why is a hamburger called a ham[burger]? There is no ham about it! Ew, could you imagine a burger made of ham? I don’t think I’d like that…
3. I am still that awkward girl. I walked into the tanning place the other day, saw my reflection in the mirror and said, “Ugh, sorry I look like a child bunny.” WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN!? Then the girl asked to see my hand to put some lotion on it so I could see how it smells and I held out my hand and said, “Wow, I’m a hot mess today. Please ignore my poorly manicured hands.” Those poor girls. They never saw me coming.
4. That moment when you get so excited to see your Chapstick and you completely destroy it on your lips, but then you try to slyly scrape it off and keep it on the Chapstick at the same time. That moment.
5. You remember in middle school when it was a rainy day you got to play games inside all day? That’s how work should be. We should just be able to play rainy day games! Forget productivity!

Is that actual truth? Because that sounds like the kind of story I’ll repeat as a truism, and then get called out on because it’s made up. Please save me the embarrassment!

Yes, but to be sure for you, I looked it up. Hamburg is actually a city in Germany, not a country. So it is true. Further knowledge: the reason why people think ham- is the suffix to the term -burger is due to the linguistic function ‘back-formation’ in which over time, a part of the word is seen as the root because other suffixes are added to it to classify the type of burger (eg. veggie burger).
Wow, that linguistics course I took finally paid off….!

I find that when your nose is blocked while you sleep, it can be harder to breathe through your nose so often you open your mouth and breathe through that, which can cause drool 😛

Ugh the drooling happened for me around age 27. I don’t know why. I just can’t seem to keep my mouth closed when I sleep.

Ohhh I hope you are! It can be super embarrassing. I’ve been married for a few years so he’s stuck with me, but I still feel a little embarrassed when I wake up in a puddle. Hahaha!

I can always count on these posts to make me laugh, but at the moment I’m at my desk on a lunch break and trying to hold it in! Child bunny! WHAT IS THAT?! hahaha.
I love rainy days like a weirdo because I wanted to just play games sometimes! Also, I have definitely googled the hamburger question a few times, and always forget if its a fact or not, so thank you! xx
