How to Get to Know Me: My Strange Traits

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these, so I figured, hey, it’s time that I share some more weird facts about me! These are just a few things I’ve noticed about myself as I’ve blossomed over the years.

1. Being around groups of people make me nervous

Not like on the inside, but on the outside, I just start to sweat and get tongue tied and don’t know what to say. It’s weird. Yes. I just get really nervous. Even in one on one conversations with coworkers or friends of friends.

2. I laugh at all of my own jokes

Every time. Never fails. Some people (okay, most people) don’t get my jokes, but it’s okay, because I know I’m funny and that’s all that really matters in the end.

3. I refuse to have serious conversations

I have to always crack a joke. It’s terrible. But it’s true. I don’t know what is wrong with me. If the conversation turns serious then the tears show up to the party too. No matter what the discussion is. If someone says “what do you want out of life” I will say “to eat, drink, and vacation” before the tears start building. No idea why.

4. I keep everything that comes in a new picture frame

Like the original picture, that thin piece of foam or cardboard, all of it. I just put my picture in front and then keep the rest of the stuff behind it. This IS weird. But I just can’t throw it away, I guess?

5. I can never not answer the phone

If I see a phone call coming in, I have to answer it. I literally cannot just let it become a missed call. And it’s not like a missed call is the end of the world, but if I know you, I will answer the phone every time unless I literally just don’t have my phone on me, which isn’t too often.

6. I cannot sleep with socks on

Even when my feet are frozen, I just cannot sleep with any socks on. My toes will just be cold for the longest time until I fall asleep and don’t notice anymore.

So there you go, just a little bit of me being me. Happy Friday lovelies!!

  1. Lol, I HATE answering the phone, unless it’s someone in my immediate family. I always manage to say the wrong things and make things super awkward. Thankfully I’ve gotten a *bit* better as I’ve gotten older, but I’m more comfortable making an appointment with someone I’ve never met than I am talking to a friend. What’s wrong with me, I don’t know. 🙈

  2. I hate sleeping with sock on too- idk how people do it. I’m the total same with #1, I mean I used to be wicked out going and talkative and then over time I just kind of like keeping to myself so now a days I’m for sure much more awkward and I much prefer not to be around big groups or any groups for that matter unless its my very select few friends lol
